The quiet struggle

Your child may know more English than they feel able to say.

Many children hesitate because they worry about making a mistake, being rushed, or choosing the wrong word.

Confidence comes before fluency.
Felicia creates room for both.

Lessons built around the child in front of the screen.

Felicia notices how your child responds, where they pause, what makes them smile, and which activities help new language stick.

Meet Felicia

Qualified teaching shaped by international experience.

I am from Canada and have lived for several years in the UK. I teach British, American or Canadian English. I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Linguistics: TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), received TESL Canada certification, and have a master’s degree in TESOL and Intercultural Communication from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Since 2015, I have had the joy of teaching English to learners ranging from adults to three-year-old children across several countries. My experience spans public schools, private training centres and post-secondary institutions. At a private training centre in China, I used fun, interactive games with clear objectives to keep children engaged and focused on learning English. I also led classes at a children’s English camp in China, where music and the arts were incorporated into English learning.

I have worked as an ESL lecturer at a college in Scotland and taught adults and children one-to-one, both online and in person. I have also trained English school teachers in Mongolia in teaching methodology and oral communication, and have experience in materials development. I now focus on teaching children aged 5 to 12 internationally. Whether you live in the UK or overseas, you are very welcome to connect online for weekly lessons.

I speak German and have experience learning several languages, including some Korean and Chinese. When I was young, my family and I moved to Germany for seven months, so I remember the challenge of adjusting to a different country and language. I understand that making mistakes is part of the journey to success.

At Foster English Fluency, children learn in a warm, friendly environment where they can relax, make mistakes without fear and enjoy a fun, interactive online curriculum. I encourage every learner throughout the process and help them work steadily towards their goals.
